Friday, Feb. 11th
Novice Boys lost to St. Andrew 17-16
Intermediate Girls defeated St. Joan of Arc 43-13 Intermediate girls won 43-13. The highlight of the game was all 9 girls who were at the game scored a basket! All ten girls on the team have now scored with Arietta coming out of her shell and scoring for the 1st time and exploding for 8 points overall. Defensively we only gave up 2 points in the entire 1st half. Hanna led the scoring with 10 points, a career high for her. The girls jumped off the bench when Vanessa made a nice pull up jumper in traffic to finish off our goal of having everyone score in the game.
Saturday, Feb. 12th
Bantam Girls defeated St. Joan of Arc 16-4 The team avenged their first defeat of the season with an amazing defensive effort!
Rookie Boys lost to St. Francis DeSales 33-18
Bantam Boys lost to Our Lady of Mercy/Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Lost 31-30 The Eagles had strong rebounding and great team play from everyone. In a game where the lead change approximately 15 times, the final came down to the last 47 seconds. Coach Bobby Shoule said though the team was devastated by the one point loss, it was the best game ever.
Novice Boys lost to St. Luke 28-10
SubNovice Boys & Girls played St. Greg Played their first game at St Greg's and easily handled the slightly bigger court. Struggled a bit with rebounding and defending a bigger and more aggressive team but did a nice job staying out of a couple minor issues that spilled over beyond the whistle. Continue to share the ball real well on offense. Plenty to talk about and learn at practice this week!
PeeWee Boys lost to St. Helen 20-8
Sunday, Feb. 13th
Rookie Boys lost to St. Francis DeSales 31-16 The team traveled twice to Belle Harbor to battle St. Francis De Sales over the weekend. Though they lost both games, the team played hard and competed until the end. Tim Fitzpatrick led the weekend scoring, and newcomer Owen Branigan was a strong contributor in his first games with the team. Isaiah Arjune added to the offense, and the rest of the team contributed top effort on both sides of the ball.
